Benny Rebel , wildlife photographer, is using the Sony NEX-5 for his helicopter rig. He refers to it as the Octocopter for it's eight propellers. Since the NEX has the biggest sensor size to weight ratio with interchangeable lenses, it's the most logical choice for the job. We believe it's the 18-55mm OSS is being used. Aki Asahi has some nice leather goods in many different colors, textures, and finishes for the Sony NEX cameras . They have cases for the NEX-5 and NEX-3, but they do restrict the swivel screen. The leather and stitching look great in the pictures. The pricing, depending on the model of the camera and options, for the case run from ¥8400 to ¥11100, which is $98 to $130. Here is a step by step tutorial on how to import photos from the Sony NEX-5 camera to the iPad with the use of the Camera Connection Kit . Turn on Sony NEX Camera. Press Menu button > Setup > USB Connection > Mass Storage Turn off NEX Camera. Connect iPad USB reader from Camera Connection Kit to USB cable from NEX-5. Connect USB reader to iPad. Make sure the iPad is not in sleep mode. Turn on NEX Camera. The iPad will start displaying photos from NEX-5 memory card. We had Date folders in the NEX-5 but the iPad displayed all the photos at once. Select the photos to be imported by clicking on each one, or select none if you will import all the photos. Click the Import button and choose whether to Import only the Selected Photos or All of the photos. The iPad will start importing the photos, wait until all the blue checks turn green. RAW files can be imported, but due to their size, take longer to import than JPGs. Choose whether to Keep or Delete the imported photos from the N

So what happens if you bought the single lens kit and you want to use a Sony NEX E-mount to Leica Lens adapter. Your new E-mount lens will now have to go in the box with it's rear exposed, since the Sony NEX kits don't come with rear lens caps. rjadapter has the answer on eBay. They are now selling the Sony NEX E-mount rear lens caps on eBay . Hopefully the E-mount Body Cap will come next. Update: Amazon has Sony NEX body caps and rear lens caps .
