Sony E-Mount Lens Roadmap Photokina 2014 Update
Upcoming Sony / Zeiss E-mount Lenses
The new E-mount lens roadmap added 3 lens slots compared with the previous roadmap. The roadmap shows that seven more lenses will be announced in 2015. The only hole we see is a fast portrait lens at around 90mm. We are hoping that this will be the next lens announced.

Zeiss Vario-Tessar 16-35mm ZA OSS f/4 Lens
The Zeiss 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS will be shipping next month. More information and samples can be found on our previous post on the SEL1635Z.
Sony 28-135mm PZ OSS Lens
The Sony 28-135mm Power Zoom Lens will ship in December. This lens is aimed at cinematographers.
Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 Distagon Prototype
The Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 Distagon FE ZA prototype above shows a manual aperture ring. The f/1.4 provides a 2-stop advantage over the Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 Sonnar lens. The lens is targeted to ship on March 2015.
Sony 24-240mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens
The Sony 24-240mm OSS Lens is the all-in-one travel lens. The lens is the longest FE lens to date, surpassing the Sony 70-200mm FE G by 40mm. It is scheduled to be released February 2015.
Sony 90mm f/2.8 Macro G Lens
Sony 28mm FE with Fisheye and Ultra Wide Converter
The Sony 28mm f/2.0 FE lens is a nice complement to the Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 Sonnar if you find that the Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 isn't wide enough. A 16mm fisheye converter (0.6x) and a 21mm ultra wide rectilinear converter (0.75x) will be available accessories. The set is set to ship on March 2015.
All of these lenses are fully compatible with the family of a7, a####, and nex cameras. They provide full electronic control and provide the camera with electronic information.
Which lens are you excited to see? Which lenses would you want announced in 2015?
