Sony NEX-VG10 with Sigma 50-500mm Bigma
Here are Steve N's pictures of his Sony NEX-VG10, a Nikon F mount to Sony E-mount lens adapter, and a Sigma 50-500mm f/4.5-6.3 APO Ultra Telephoto, aka the Bigma. This would give an equivalent of 90mm to 900mm zoom lens on the NEX-VG10 with it's 1.8x crop factor. We'll post videos soon...
Check out Steve N's work!
Sorry, I know this is an old post but I found it via google images. Does mounting the VG10 like that not put extra strain on the mount? I'm looking at buying either the 'Bigma' or the Sony 70-400mm for my VG-10 but am worried about how to mount it. Do you have any suggestions?

It looks like the NEX-VG10 and the SEL18200 lens weigh about the same. So with the tripod mount on the Bigma, the lens mount is supporting the weight of the VG10 which is equal to a VG10 supporting the 18-200 lens.
