Sony NEX Kipon Tilt Lens Adapters Available



So how do you achieve the selective focus as seen in the video above? It is done with by tilting the lens so that it is not parallel to the image sensor, aka the Scheimpflug principle.

Kipon released 4 tilt adapters for the Sony NEX cameras. Contax / Yashica, Leica R, M42, and Nikon F manual focus lenses can be adapted and tilted on the Sony NEX. They are available on eBay and Amazon.

    In case anyone sees this i just want to know one thing, if i buy one of these i can't uses the lenses made for the camera and i have to buy a lens of a different brand to use this?

    TheAlp - yes you will need a 3rd party manual lens (Nikon, Contax, etc) so that you can control the aperture.

Slow and Quick Video Mode Options for Timelapse Shoot Timelapse Videos with Sony Alpha Cameras using Slow and Quick (S&Q) Motion Video Mode Christopher Burress shows us how to take a time lapse video with his Sony a6500 . He uses S&Q Mode which is found in the Video Settings. This is identical to the method we need to use on the new a7r iii .
