Sony NEX Micro Four Thirds Lens Adapter
Sony NEX-5 with the Panasonic 14-45 micro 4/3 lens
Here's a new adapter for the Sony NEX E-mount. It's the micro 4/3 lens adapter for the Sony NEX cameras. We are not sure if the image circle will cover the larger APS-C sensor found in the NEX. Unfortunately the eBay listing does not provide sample photos.
Now lets imagine that it does provide a large enough image for the NEX - wouldn't you want to use the new Voigtlander 25mm f/0.95 Nokton on the NEX for a low light 37.5mm equivalent lens?
Awesome blog. Thanks for showing us some of the capabilities of this awesome cam.
ReplyDeleteI would love to use the samsung 30 mm lens, or the panasonic micro 4/3 20mm f1.7. Is there an adapter for the Samsung, and does anyone know whether this 4/3ds adapter works on the Sony nex 5? It seems that physically small pancakes are a great way to complement the compact body.I hope Sony do an e mount 28mm or so in a really compact size!
ReplyDeleteSony really needs to address the issue of crappy native E mount lenses. No doubt the cameras were targetted at the casual user, but now it seems the nex has a wider appeal :)
ReplyDeleteI do hope Zeiss or the other specialists lens manufacturers fill the gap! At Sony's loss of course, if they continue to ignore us serious shooters :)
I also use the samsung 30 mm lens, and feel this is the great ones..!!

Adapter don't work, or at least I cannot make it work. So build a mount instead.

Bought an adapter branded "Leinox" that does not work as well. No infinite focussing possible. Seems to use a flange back distance of 20mm which seems too large.
ReplyDeleteAdapting the SLR Magic HyperPrime 12mm/F1.6 is interesting as well.
Does anyone know a working adapter?
@Hacky contact the seller and tell him your problem.
